The Taste of Asheville features local restaurants, showcasing a sampling of some of the best cuisine in Asheville.

Beverage Stations

Beat the heat with a cold drink. Beverage booths are located throughout the festival. Whether you are looking for water, sodas, or beer, Bele Chere Beverage Stations can quench your thirst.

Wristbands are required for anyone purchasing alcohol. Valid I.D. is required.

To purchase alcoholic beverages at Bele Chere, you must first purchase a wristband. In order to purchase a wristband, you must be at least 21 years of age. A Bele Chere 2012 wristband must be worn to purchase and carry alcohol on the streets during the festival. You can acquire a wristband for $2 and the flash your state or military issued picture identification. Areas in which to purchase wristbands are conveniently located next to the beverage stations. In addition to wearing your wristband through the entirety of the festival (or as long as you wish to buy and enjoy beer and wine), you must show your identification each time you purchase an alcoholic beverage at Bele Chere.

Local non-profit agencies staff wristband booths and beverage stations and receive a portion of the funds generated from your purchase.

Pritchard Park Food Court

Find your favourite festival street food around the perimeter of Pritchard Park. Satisfy your craving for funnel cakes, kettle corn, hamburgers, and hotdogs. The Pritchard Food Park is the largest of the two food areas at Bele Chere.

Microbrews

Asheville is quickly becoming one of the nation's top destinations for craft brewing. During the Bele Chere Festival, sample some of the best craft brewers in the region and you'll understand why Asheville has been voted "Beer City USA" for four years in a row.

Beer & Wine

Asheville is Beer City, USA. The region is now home to more than 10 breweries and you can find most of these brews at Bele Chere. Wine is also available for purchase. Remember – the Children’s Area is an alcohol-free zone.  Sunday is an alcohol-free day during Bele Chere, alcoholic beverages are not sold nor can they be carried on the streets.
