The roots of Laura Reed and Deep Pocket’s sound and message stem from Laura’s diverse experience growing up in South Africa and the American South. Formed in the summer of 2006, the band switches up the music between funk, progressive R&B, reggae and pure SOUL behind Laura Reed’s captivating stage presence. They recently recorded their debut album “Soul: Music” at Asheville’s own Echo Mountain Studios. They are now preparing for their tour world-wide where they plan to spread their message of empathy and love for humanity in the unconditional form of music and raw reflection on the human condition.
