The Ryan Montbleau Band, based in Boston, has vocal styles reminiscent of the ‘70s funky R&B with stripped down blues songwriting. The singer-guitarist and his A-Team of band mates weave a tapestry of folk, blues, rock-steady, country, rock, gypsy jazz and psychedelia that’s exciting, elegant and sometimes even elegiac. The band calls Boston home but spends the year traveling coast to coast doing what they love. Montbleau says. “My favorite thing in the world is looking out from the stage and seeing smiling faces.” He is sure to see many this year at Bele Chere.
